Club Activities 2019-2020

Extracurricular activities render an opportunity to correlate academic skills with the real world context. Featured & creative curriculum facilitate children to learn better Social skills, Critical Thinking & Teamwork. It is at the backdrop of this philosophy that the school has initiated various club activities As part of club activities , the social service club, nature club, photography club visited various places for getting different exposure related to their club. The social service club visited Gilgal Ashwasa Bhavan Charitable Trust, an old age care centre. The students interacted with the elder residents to realize the present situation of the marginalized community and gave a consoling hand. The nature club had a visit to Jacob’s Farm , Maramon to get awareness regarding the various cultivation methods and organic farming. On the World River Day, “Puzhanadatham” was organized at Kuttamperoor . The photography club had their visit to Elephant Training centre (Anakoodu), Konni to explore more into the action photogra The Anti Narcotic club (Vimukthi Department, Government of Kerala) was inaugurated by Shri. Muralidaran Nair (Deputy Commissioner of Excise) on 1st July 2019. The club is formed to create awareness among the people, especially youth, for a collective effort in prevention of drug abuse.

Electronic Club

This club aims to explain the concepts of electronics in a practical way and help the students gain knowledge and provide a platform for them to give an opportunity for their innovative ideas. The students here are challenged with thought provoking questions and motivated to think out of the box.

Nature Club

This Club takes initiative to sensitize and encourage an interest in nature among the students and to create a clear & green consciousness through different novel practices.

We strive to motivate students to value environment and to develop social & environmental commitment for sustainable development among students.

The club trains students in conservation & preservation of environment by promoting the establishment & maintenance of natural areas & natural reserves. We encourage students to assimilate a lifestyle for minimum waste generation.

SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB

The Social Service Club of the school enables the students to learn to respect people how to fulfil their responsibilities to serve the community.

• To TAKE an active interest in the civic, cultural and moral welfare of the community.

• To ENCOURAGE service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavours

QUIZ CLUB

“ Knowledge is power”, general knowledge contributes personal enrichment and a better understanding of the world as a whole. The quiz club helps to develop a desire for knowledge and increase confidence among the children.

The main objective of quiz club is to popularize quizzing activities among students and to encourage them to take part in all competitive examinations.

• Quiz competitions enables students to think from different angles.
• Quizzes are designed to promote a fun way of learning that helps to improve one’s general knowledge.

LITERARY CLUB

The aim of the club is to inculcate in students a love for language and enhance their Literary Skills. Being able to express yourself clearly is so important in group work. If you have ideas you want others to accept, you need to be able to persuade. Literary Club aims to help better expression. This club promises to cultivate a passion for quizzing, Debating, Creative Writing, Literature, Elocution etc… The club is an amalgamation of three different languages English, Malayalam and Hindi.

HOME SCIENCE CLUB

Home science is a scientific course of study which moulds a student with a variety of life skills. This is a unique discipline with a blend of science and arts. It does not limit itself to the home related skills of cooking, laundry, decoration and stitching but opens new avenues to different walks of life. It is an inter-disciplinary course covering a wide spectrum of subjects falling under three main core subjects- Nutrition, Human development and Family resource management.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

With proper camera and vision, a photograph can be worth a thousand words. This Club allows students to learn about and enjoy Photography. Beginners and experts are welcome to explore the world of photography.

The photography club logo was officially inaugurated by Shri. Joseph .M.Puthusherry, Ex-MLA on !st November,2018.
